As a post-graduate student in Canada, Niraj Gautam envisioned supporting fellow students in navigating the country’s educational landscape. His initial venture assisting student candidates laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial journey, providing both experience and resources to diversify into various industries.
Starting with a restaurant acquisition, Niraj transformed the brand into a thriving enterprise, poised to unveil its third location in Montreal. Concurrently, he actively sought and invested in diverse business prospects, expanding and enriching the company’s portfolio. This evolution culminated in the birth of Gautam Group, now a flourishing holding company.
Continuously seizing new opportunities, Gautam Group swiftly solidified its position in the Canadian business landscape, boasting ownership and management of a college, multiple restaurants, a hotel, an ed-tech platform, and various real estate properties across Canada.
Presently, the company is poised to achieve new milestones in education and franchising, introducing burgeoning brands into Canadian and global markets, fostering steady growth and expansion.

Mr. Niraj Gautam, the driving force behind our organization, brings a compelling and inspiring narrative to his role as CEO. From being an international student with an engineering background, he adeptly translated his practical experiences into invaluable management skills during his hostel years—a period marked by resourcefulness and exceptional performance within constraints.
Upon arriving in Canada, Mr. Niraj seamlessly applied these skills to the business landscape, establishing his first venture in 2018. Since then he has been managing 100+ employees within the group and businesses into multiple industries, cementing his position as a dynamic leader within our organization.
Heading one of the fastest-growing self-funded groups, groupegautam.com, Mr. Niraj embodies unity and collaborative teamwork. He believes in the collective strength as a potent driver of success, leading a conglomerate of companies worth millions, drawing from his real-life experiences to navigate the intricacies of the business world.
His commitment transcends business success, extending to a profound dedication to community service. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his group generously supported the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, acknowledging healthcare professionals' pivotal role. Additionally, his restaurants contribute to the community by providing free meals every Friday to diverse communities in Montreal.
In January 2024, Niraj was appointed Chair for Montreal Chapter of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering business growth and collaboration between India and Canada. His journey stands as a testament to resilience, triumph, and a genuine commitment to community engagement. Through his leadership, which emphasizes both business excellence and social impact, Niraj has positioned himself as a significant figure within our organization.
